as a Barca hater, you'll like the fact the Diamond has worked against them

on more than one occasions. However it's usually a more flat defensive diamond and less stress on the full backs getting forward a striker and forward player not as advanced. Used by Hercules in their 2-0 victory against Barca apparently (didn't see it). I personally felt Inter in their 3-1 win against them in the first leg were very similar to the diamond but with just one full back doing all the running in Maicon. Motta and Cambiasso both switched a lot to be the more defensive midfielder.
