I actually feel really bad.

I've never make jokes at the expense of poor grieveing five-year-old imaginary nephews. It's part of what I base my morality around - not doing that sort of thing.

Discovering that I've inadvertantly managed to do exactly that, carelessly, callously some might say, has hit me for six. Hit me for six off a no-ball, even.

Suffice to say I'm suitably chastened.
