but in the real world, fans' representatives are usually the hard-core, those who absorb almost any price increase.

It is the casual fan who will stop going if tickets are suddenly 30 notes, not Debbie-5378consecutivegames-Smith. That isn't rocket science, it's marketing 101.

And in any case, if the club showed wage restraint then the price increases would be less necessary.
