Good football books.
Not sure I've seen it mentioned on here before - I've spent most of my day reading 'Tor! The Story of German Football' by Ulrich Hesse-Lichtenberger.
I really recommend it: there are really good chapters on how football started in Germany (utterly haphazardly, it turns out), the relationship between football and the Nazis, and football in the GDR, and it debunks some myths about Bayern Munich and the national team in the process. Very, very good.
