Barcelona are a weird one for me.

There's a lot to like about them - they've always played good football, what they represent/embody politically is pretty sound and their fans are heavily involved in the club.

Yet they're unbearably annoying somehow - perhaps because of the sanctimoniousness that comes with that? And the way that they've consciously branded themselves globally as the right-on liberal's football club of choice, I suppose - you'd think no other club has ever had any social or political significance from the way Barca trumpet their credentials.

Sorry, that was just an argument with myself.
