Most pleasing thing about saturday for me? We played with a clear game plan
Lambert sent them out with a plan and system to deal with how Swansea try and play, and for a lot of the game it worked.
We pressed from the front and denied them space, I thought the discipline was superb.
How many times did their keeper have the ball at his feet and no-one to give it to?
Its clear they prefer to build from the back, roll it out to the CB's or fullbacks and go from there but we didn't let them.
This is a good sign for me that Lambert is capable of reading other teams, but also that our team is capable of following those instructions.
We didn't need to bother in league 1, we were a big enough fish to go with the 'let them worry about us' approach, can't do that this year we need to be adaptable.
Saturday proved that Lambert can be, and the team can be, and that's a very very important thing.

- I thought that was definitely true in the first 25 mins where we really rattled them (NCFC) - Bravo win or die, Aug 23, 08:56:26
- Defence did do well, we needed to take an early chance to keep them rattled. (NCFC) - megson, Aug 23, 09:04:05
