But I think (and hope) Ruddy will improve. I don't think he had much chance with the first goal, and the way he was exposed by his defence for the other two wasn't his fault. The third in particular was a shambles, foul or no foul. He made an excellent save in the first half and got his fingers to Graham's first; another day he might save it. I'll not dwell on the open goal they missed. That was one mistake that didn't get punished.

However, did Watford make any errors for us to punish? I think (with hindsight and less beer) that we were beaten by the better team on the night; who had a plan, albeit fairly ugly; and we'd better up our game. Soon.
