Lest We Forget...

Do we look at last season through rose tinted spectacles?

We were dire at Orient and played off the proverbial pitch at Tranmere last season, and late on...

Carlisle at home, last day, remember that? OK, seasons end, champions, maybe it was always one to lose...then again, those same circumstances could have made it one to win and win well? Southampton made us look very poor at Carrow Road as well.

We had these type performances in us last season, and we will this. And, just as we lost this game that we should have won, we'll win games that no-one thinks we stand a chance in-again, like last season, when we went to Huddersfield and won.

I'm all for a season of mid-table mediocrity this time around and that will be progress. Tonights defeat shouldn't be seen as a blow for the team that is meant to be finishing in the top 2 but a defeat that shows that work needs to be done, and a performance that will have told Lambert a hell of a lot more than a 2-1 win might have.
