Testing your download speed from around the world.

Having a fast download speed is only handy if you are getting the stream from a local source.

My advice is to test you download speed from various points in the world.
There is a handy website called speedtest which allows you to test both your upload and download speed to an country in the world

Just select the country from the map you want to test.

In all reality if your download connection is less than 1.5 Mb/s you will never have a fast enough connection for a decent stream.
Maybe a very low quality one with some buffereing.

A 3.0 Mb stream will give you a pretty decent stream for anything but the highest quality streams.

A 6.0 Mb connection will play virtually every stream out there
