Right, the Waterfront, right?

Trying to sate my curiosity and prove that my memory still at least partially functions, I was looking for evidence that the Waterfront existed as a venue before the UEA took it over in 1993. On their official site the UEA doesn't acknowledge its existence prior to them running it, but I seem to remember it being run or set up by the city council and a group of volunteers. Radio 1 Sound City was based around it in spring 1992 (I saw at least two of the gigs and have the T-shirt to prove it somewhere) and I've found mention of a Prodigy appearance in 1991 in some music forums. I remember seeing EMF (!) when they were in the charts, which was definitely 1990/1.

That's right, isn't it?
