oh ok. I feel I need to explain myself. then I am going out.

I know this is a footy board, but I do love cricket, am an umpire in superleague cricket here in france and have great friends in all the teams. There are 6 'super teams', 2 pakistani teams, 1 indian team, 1 sri lankan teams and 1 very mixed nationality (who play in bordeaux)

in this team are a number of australian players (as well as players from the subcontinent, maybe I spend too much time with them....

I used the term I used in the following context (I am not trying to upset the applecart again!), unfortunately I did not think it would offend anyone and am sorry it did.

"In Australia the term Paki is rarely used except in Cricket where the pleural term `The Pakis' is used for the Pakistani cricket team. In this sense it is only used exclusively for Pakistanis and not other South Asians and is not considered or intended to be offensive, just used as an abbreviation."

there you go, thats why I subconsciously used that term.

I wont do it again.
