Hiya mate

couple of months ago I turned the computer on only to get messages saying all my security settings had dissappeared so had no firewall, spyware etc. The screens took me to a fully branded "microsoft" site to buy ?60 worth of new spyware etc and as soon as all downloaded the machine was fully protected again. However, next time I logged on it had gone again. Barclaycard showed I'd bought the non-existent package from some software place in Moscow. Fortunately Barclaycard deleted the money from my card and Dell sorted the problem on-line after three hours of taking over the machine remotely and they downloaded the best free packages that they use.

In summary after all that waffle "don't buy anything if the screen messages guide you to what looks like a safe site!"
