He needs to play in the right system.

ie. a compact midfield with only one or no wide midfielders. I think he did well when playing with Fotheringham and Fatty Matty Patty

He looks completely out of his depth in a 4-4-2. And apart from one amazing goal that i remember, he coudn't hit a cows arse with a banjo
