Justin Fashanu

Went to see a play in London about Justin Fashanu last weekend. While it was really concerning the events that lead to his suicide it did make many references to his career and in particular his early successes while at Norwich. It?s easy to forget that he burst on the scene at the same age as Wayne Rooney. In fact he had a higher scoring rate than him until the latter got into the groove at Man U and it all went wrong for JF at Forest. If only he hadn?t left and fallen victim to injury and Clough?s psychological games ? who knows what the outcome might have been ? discuss! And why did we let his brother John slip away quite so easily.

Interestingly the play was written by the brother of Chris Fairclough ? who was at Forest at the same time as JF.
