Off topic.......

One night last week, flicking across the telly guide, I spotted a film scheduled for the early hours that I remembered reading about, as a spinal tap-style rock mockumentary, so I set the vid and went to bed.

On Monday night i settled down to watch it. It was moderately funny in places, mostly when the band were live on stage, but the where-are-they-now parts weren't funny and the dry, staged, interviews with stars like Lemmy and Lars Ulrich ticked all the mockumentary boxes without tickling me at all.

After about 30 mins a horrible thought dawned on me, and I hit Pause and came in here to google the band. Anvil, they were called. And it wasn't a mockumentary, it was serious.

Oops. But 80s metal *was* quite funny, really, wasn't it?
