Actually, we did

Obviously it was the results over the rest of the season that put us (and the other three in the bottom 4) where we were. But the actual reason we went down is because we couldn't beat Fulham yesterday. That is the direct cause or causa causans; the rest of the season is too remote.

Anyway, well done to you and the other City supporters at the ground - superb support, really superb. Shame the efforts of the team couldn't match the efforts of the fans on the day!
