Not wanting to play devil's advocate, but...

usa has a point.

And on a side note - and I must point out, being a part time Wrather I'm not fully aware of previous gripes - I do find it quite amazing how quick people are to jump down usa's throat, and this just seems like he was the wrong guy to point it out. Anyone else, and people would be nodding sagely.

People used to slag Roy off something rotten - and I was probably amongst those doing the slagging, to be honest - but probably because his idiosyncracies, gaffs and wandering mind would have your nerves on edge whilst you were confused as to what had just happened or what exactly was going on.

It's easy to forget personally, that back in the days when I used to play more than I watched, Roy would be the focal point for most of my City experiences.

Recently for me things have come full circle playing/watching wise, so I've listened to most of the home games on the radio for the first time in many seasons. As I understand it, that div off the telly, Donovan Blake does the Canaries World commentary; that for me would be excrutiating as he may well be on a par with Roy for stumbles and gaffs, but he's a charmless and clueless little turd, whereas Roy had true character and wit and so you could always forgive him his misgivings.
