I was in France in 2006

We were in Boulogne (Ribery's home town) and there were posters and flags and all the shiz. Great atmosphere before and during the game, until ZZ's headbutt. Then they realised just how important he was and collapsed without him, in France as well as in Berlin. The day after it was like a national day of mourning - but then Sundays in France are pretty quiet anyway. Couldn't find a poster anywhere, bizarrely. It was as if someone had done the rounds during the night and taken them all away.
