Interesting 10 minute Lambert interview on CW
(1) Thinks we will bring in just 1 more player, looks like a RB as was asked and didn't deny.
(2) The FF deal was all about the fact he didnt want a loan. He didnt want to be left without a keeper on a recall.
Although he also admitted money came into it.
(3) He is going with Ruddy and Rudd as our keepers.
He seems very happy with that.
(4) Suggested the reasons for selling Spillane and Stephens were purely the fact he could give them first team football and didnt want to stand in their way.
The above asks more questions than answers.
Made me question the fact we have just sold/released 3 players who can play CB
That leaves just 3 players at the whole club who can play CB. (not counting Drury)
Thats seems a bit light.
Lets hope any RB he is going for can also play CB?
Another question begs our firepower up front
With 7 subs you really need 4 strikers on matchdays alone.
Thats basically all we have.
Holt will probably get a few yellows and reds meaning we look to again be a bit short up front for the whole season.
Thats not even including injuries.
Marlon Harewood anyone?
With Boyd going to Boro what about Lita? still only 25
At least we have about 15 midfield players!
