saw an interview with seedorf a few days ago

he was saying how as youngsters (10/11) the Dutch were coached to think four passes ahead before deciding what to do. That way passes were made so the receiving player was immediately in a position to receive and pass. The whole team on the same wavelength.

Players like Upson and Terry must think a maximum of 2 phases of play ahead.
