Estrada had done more than enough beforehand to go. I don't know whether the ref just needed to process and think afterwards, but he gave Estrada his last chance, just after he crudely brought down a spanish player at full speed

Estrada then did another strong tackle, man and ball job. And then came the Torres incident. I don't believe in the innocence of it. Chile were stupid to let him stay on the field, much like when Brazil earlier in the day removed Melo before his spat with Pepe reached stupidity

One way or another, the player was ejected from the game, and it was the right thing for the game, just over the wrong incident
