My view of the Lisbie signing
is that its a bit of a panic measure. Worthy clearly wanted to borrow Jeffers from Charlton and when he didn't get him got Lisbie instead. To be honest I'm a little concerned that Charlton would let him and Jeffers go out tehir squad can't be that big.
Anyway as a player his speed will be an asset. WE don't seem to be able to link midfield with attack very well so someone with real pace other than Hucks will be a huge asset. His goalscoring record is very very poor however that is mostly in the prem and I'd be interested to know how many of those games were as starts. What does copncern me a little aqbout his record though is that he's 26 and has only scored 16 goals.
Time will tell.
I think he'll do ok for us but I think worhy's mangement of Jarvis and Henderson has been woeful. Personally I think they're good enough and at the very least should be loaned out. Their development has been shafted by his ineptitude in the transfer market meaning we're operating with a squad of 10 outfield players plus 4 goalies.
I'll be disappointed if this is the only loan we get. Don't expect it but am hoping for Mcfadden and Brown.
