Cloud is now, slightly inaccurately, the way that most applications are described if they are run via the web rather than being hosted on-premise or locally - so for example if you do webmail rather than having outlook on your pc. Something like Salesforce is the obvious example.
In your business, because of the size of files, most still is at a local level as working online all the time would probably still be quite painfully slow.
