Thus the weight isn't an issue.

For me, the players have got used to playing with a ball that isn't true, and the boot manufacturers have built their products taking that into account. They've all developed a natural compensation for an imperfect ball.

Now there IS a true ball, the players can't use the imperfections and compensations to get the dip and swerve that they've naturally learnt so it's going all over the place.

It's like a golfer who knows his natural swing is to hook, so aims to the right to compensate.

They'll get used to it - eventually.
