On Talksport, they're saying that in the event of two teams being completely tied after 3
games, qualification for the next round will be by drawing lots. They're doing a wroth-style suggestions gag.
But I have a serious idea: all four teams in the group will be on the pitch after completing their last games and the final standings will be known as soon as the last whistle blows. All games are televised. How about a penalty shoot-out, remote if necessary?
Player One takes a penno in Cape Town, and then Joueur Un takes one in Pretoria etc. Scores and misses shown on big screens - that'd be outstanding!
