Trouble with Jimmy Anderson...
is that he can bowl too wayard at times, and would undoubtedly be punished especially when required to keep it tight.
Collingwood's batting didn't pay off today, but his bowling (medium-fast) is a lot tighter under pressure. He chipped in with some vital wickets during the one-dayers too. And you cannot fault the man's agility in the field.
Another specialist batter (eg Rob Key or Vikram Solanki) would have been suicide, and would have left us way too light in the bowling attack.
I think Collingwood was the correct option, despite his lack of runs today. On the bright side...seven down, and still chance to make a few more tomorrow. If we can see it through to luinch, and get 360 - 380...that'll be great. Thundery showers are forecast later tomorrow afternoon. Get the Aussies in under some cloud cover, and you never never know.
