Re that Blackpool thread down there
Myself, Mrs KC and our two girls went to Blackpool for the weekend last season. It was just open as the fixture was in early March. The place is a real dump, very run down, and in summer probably like Yarmouth. We got there around 11.00am did a walk up and down the prom saw a few places and that was it.
As regards supporting the local businesses we (a) Stayed at the Travelodge by the Ground, a chain hotel (b) Went to the Swift Hound Pub, a chain pub (c) Went to Franky & Benny?s for Dinner, a chain eaterie and then (d) Went to the Funfair on Sunday. Plus (e) had a quick feed at McD?s before Dad drove home 220 miles home with three sleeping in the car.
So much for supporting the ?local? business.
Despite going to the game with two U-11's, the football was by far the most expensive part of the weekend.
