I this answer sums up the change in thinking at the club that has me extremely optomistic for the future of the club going forward.
-----------------------------------------------------------
When asked why we are ONLY being linked with Lower League players?
"Above all, we are seeking to attract to the club young hungry players who are going places rather than players who have been somewhere"
------------------------------------------------------------
We are past the stage where we are seen as a step down and doing a player a favor by playing him.
Every single player can be dropped or subbed if they are not doing the business.
None are bigger than the club or getting paid far too much to sit on the sidelines.
If we lose, I want us to lose with OUR players who play with pride and give everything.
Letting Doc go may seem a little strange to some.
Lambert has proven time and time again with his formations/lineup changes he is thinking 2 or 3 moves ahead.
If Lambert were looking for consolidation this year he would have probably tried to keep Doc.
He is also doing Doc a favor by letting him go on a "high" so he will almost certainly get another decent contract elsewhere.
