A couple of friends of mine are glaciologists and wanted to take some more measurements to see if there has been any more significant changes in the glacial mass balance during the eruption. I was there looking at the fault systems around the slopes of the volcano with a few others. Basically we went and set up more monitoring stations to try and help see if there is going to be any activity that could help trigger Katla.
