because that same system also puts the Lib Dems as a minority, and with 23% of the votes they're not far behind Labour with their 200 seats.

maybe the alternative vote system is correct, which would only elect an MP once they have 51% of the votes, with second preferences counted. Doubt the BNP would get more than 1 or 2 seats on that basis.

And lib Dems would get more, because they would a lot of people' second choice.

And in fact, alternative vote is much likely than full PR.
