Just wobbled back from Bristol
A lovely lunch of chips, sossidges and half a gallon or hooligan strength lager set me up nicely for the game.
We were behind the goal, watched the warm up where occasional wotb poster Surrey was smacked on the head from a wayward shot from Hooz, and found our seats and were next to Camcan and Norwich Nat.
Not much to say about the game apart from that we passed it around ok, didn?t make mistakes and once we were ahead didn?t look like losing the game. Very end of season-ish and once we scored that was it. Gill played well and it was good to see JBA head a ball from the inside the six yard box miles out of play.
The Memorial Ground is a strange place and reminded me of Oxford United old stadium, the Manor Ground which was a series of randomly placed stands and terraces around a football pitch.
Bristol Rovers are at Leeds next week and I?d bet the family silver that Leeds will beat them if they play anything like they did today.
Happy days as a City fan.
