for what it's worth i think you're right and it is using the term gay in a negative manner

i just saw the chance to get a cheap gag in about love and hate being 2 sides of the same coin (which is bulls**t imo, but that's the way the saying goes and was the premise for the 'gag')

however, i disagree that someone has to of an offended minority in order to pass comment, or judge, on whether something said about that minority could reasonably be deemed derrogatory.

and now i shall withdraw from this thread.
