I've posted this before
but I raised this with the Chairman of EEDA once. There was a big discussion (well not that big as it was a small meeting) about why people didn't understand what the region constituted, and I said that whilst the media included the East Midlands, and had a disproportionate focus on it, as part of its region then the confusion would remain. He agreed. That was in 2005.
