Doc and Nelson at the back is like putting the two "special" kids from school together...
and hoping for divine intervention.
Neither have any ability on the ball but Nelson makes Doc look like Pele.
I thought Whitbread looked comfortable on the ball against Stockport, although didn't do particularly well for the goal.
With Hoolahan out we need as many players as possible who are comfortable on the ball, Nelson just isn't up to it.
As for Russell Martin, we must have a youth player better that him?? I've not seen a player this bad since Steve Walsh.
I still think we've got enough to get over the finish line so maybe this little blip will do us some good when it comes to the board deciding on next seasons budget.
We've got too many very average League One players for a Championship team.
