Real Madrid send their players out on buy back contracts

They usually play very well, and Real buy them back when they blossom and then sell them on for the bids received, or put them in the team (Granero at the moment for example)

When De La Red was bought back by Real for 2.5m, he was easilly worth about ?10m, because he was getting in the Spainish team and lots of clubs were interested. He got seriously injured, but Real brought him back because they thought he was ready for the first team

I'm pretty sure the Shawcross thing is different, I doubt Man utd have a buy back clause meaning he trots off back to them for ?2m after flourishing at Stoke.

Say for example it was, he's been at Stoke more than 2 years now, so Man utd's clause would have expired (on the basis of signing for 5 years with the other club having a 2 year buy back window)

Loans are becoming a complicated issue with prem clubs. A scheme like this would simplify that, and would stop prem clubs feeling like they are getting the rough end of the deal (not money wise, but when clubs send back players crocked)
