I've never understood how the staff on the bench see enough of the game to make judgements

Whenever I've sat at pitch/bench level, which was most of the time last season, I've had a s**t view of what's going on. Really difficult to get perpective on what is happening at further away then 30 or so yards. Wouldn't be surprised if that's why Sam Alladyce sits in the stands so often.
