Anyone going to Leyton Game ( Pubs)

If you arrive early for the Leyton game and fancy a pint your may like to know this. Decent pubs in the area are few and far between although there is one good one.

The Northcote Arms. Turn right from leaving underground. You will now be walking along the High Road. Take the second right, Grove Green Road. Walk up Grove Green Road 200 yards. On corner you will see the Northcote. It's a two minute walk from station and five minutes from ground.
To be honest from the outside it does look a bit rough and ready. It needs painting / redecoratng. The beer is good. It has a reputation as serving one of the best pints of guiness in London. There are two sides to this bar. The bar side ( pool table etc) and the lounge side. The lounge side is where you want to be. By the way I live in Leyton. ( aprox 20 yards away from this pub).
