ch 4 receives state funding

as well as advertising revenue. some of which has therefore been spent on them showing cricket, when there's a channel that wants to show it and woul charge only people who want to see it.

(and of course if it is listed, chances are the bbc will get it back, so taxpayers will pay the whole cost. what few people are mentioning is that, prior to this series, ch4 had signalled that they were not interested in renewing thir rights to cricket....)
