You could try and make a boot disc, which loads a small operating system from a disc, and runs it from the ram memory

As lame advice as it sounds, leaving it for a few hours might do the trick (especially if it's an old machine)

Is there a reset button at all on the front? (something that needs a pin or small pen to press.) Press and hold that when you turn the pc on
