Thoughts on today

Though we were poor all over the pitch today I think the big problem is the back 4.

JBA in the ressies was always picking the ball up from the keeper and moving forward, like he does. The front men have to come and shut him dowm making space in midfield. Compared this to Nelson putting his hoofs into the stands. Nelson is fine against a hoofball team but soon as there is some movement he immitates a sloth.

Rose is ok but how often did he get beyond Lappin? I can't remember once, compared to the countless times drury does. Russel Martin is also very ordinary at attacking. The diamond depends on the full backs providing attacking width, hence it has stopped working.

I look forward to JBA (or Zac) Spillane and Drury being back asap.
