Anyone work in banking / techy about? Some f**kers nicked ?900 out of my acct
Had an email this morning saying that my secure password for internet purches off my debit card had been changed & if it wasn't me that changed it to phone them - which I did.
They said some c**t spent ?900 online last night & ?12 this morning.
He said I should get my computer checked out as may have a virus feeding back info I key in & whilst bank will prob pay back this amount, they may not do further amounts.
What I don't get by that comment though is if they did have access to my computer, why would they change the password (as presumably they'd already have it so could go off buying merrily) when they woudl know that by changing my password I would get an 'alert' email?
And if they could access my computer they'd know what my email account password was & could have gone in and deleted the alert email without me ever knowing I had received one??
