Pubs for tomorrow
The best (and prob safest) way to get to Millwall is via London Brdge - one stop to South Bermondsey and a totally protected walkway to the ground.
So Pubs around London Bridge Station are - and there are some great pubs around the station - the best bet
The George - Old ex coach house Pub - Timber Framed 17th Century Pub with large cobblestone courtyard turn left out of LB and its 200yds on the left will prob be a city favourite
The (Market) Porter - celebs pub and locally famous - Hugh Fearnly person - big advantage - opens at 6.00am for the market people - come out of LB and walk up the alleys opposite.
Vinopolis - next to the porter - for the middle classes and wine tasters.
The Borough Bar not much going for it expensive but on the left as you leave the station before Borough High Street. OK for me as my company employees get a discount.
Two other pubs over looking the Thames the other side of Borough Market good pubs one with Darwins boat outside - for the tourists among you
