This canary account thing
User Posted Link
People have put in over ?3m into accounts earning them less than a tenth of a percent. The club then gets 1% of this.
With good savings rates out there easily up to 4% why not put it in there and give almost all the interest to the club?
Or loan the whole lot of money to the club (I'm sure the interest rates on the debts will be more like 8%) which will make much more difference.
Is it just me or is it unbelievable that we do this?
