I think it went wrong twice.

First last summer - when Worthy didn't buy replacements for Holt or Fleming that he trusted, or a striker. Hence relegation.

Second this summer - when we let almost our entire midfield go with out adequate replacement, and still didn't buy a replacement for Flem that Worthy trusts.

In the end, it comes down to how good your players are. Ours aren't as good as they should be.
