Inflation probably plays a role in those figures. Does it make any successful manager less of a manager if he succeeds just because he once spent some money?

Surely you get judged on how you did with the resources given. You know, say you have one of the highest budgets in the championship and you blew ALL of it on short term loans that got you to the relegation zone, you should be judged as a failure imo
