but he was very poor. He was unquestionably a disgrace at Blackpool last year, though.
This is why I think anyone would be foolish to take him off our hands, apart from the odd glimmer he has only really been effective in this free diamond role. And most teams don't line up that way.
And he can be marked out of the game - Swindon did that - he needs conditions to suit him - he did little at Yeovil, and at Southampton we improved when he went off. So I think for anyone in the Championship he'd be a gamble.
I still think Holt is our key player.
