Whilst the U's are keen to welcome Norwich fans who purchase tickets for the North Stand, Colchester United has been made aware that some visiting supporters have attempted to buy in home areas.

With that in mind, the club has been watching sales in recent days and weeks to ensure that, where possible, no tickets are bought in contravention to the club's ground regulations and that home supporters and away supporters are accommodated in safely segregated areas.

Online tickets
Tickets bought via colutickets.com are being monitored on a daily basis and whilst transactions may complete successfully at the time of purchase, the club is monitoring customer records to ensure that where possible no tickets are sent out to visiting supporters for home areas.

Where we suspect visiting fans may be buying in home areas, these fans will be contacted and the tickets refunded.

On the day
The club remains keen to provide a positive matchday experience and will welcome both sets of supporters to this eagerly anticipated fixture, should they have tickets for the correct area of the ground. Norwich fans without a ticket are advised not to travel.

If there are still tickets remaining by Saturday January 16th, people purchasing on the day will be asked to provide proof of residence/postal address. This will be asked of all fans when buying on the matchday.

At the turnstiles, all tickets will be checked by the stewards and where away fans are suspected to be attempting to enter home areas, admittance will be refused by the club stewards and police.

Should Norwich fans be found in home areas at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, the club and the police will be working together to ensure that they are ejected safely from the stands as per ground regulations.
