think you can but only if you concentrate and work hard in training and on the field.

Of course Worthy knows a zillion times more than me, but in my own little sport one of my "tricks" is to try to break the big goals (e.g. promotion, championships, staying up) into smaller milestones which can be achieved or not regularly. Gives them something to aim at and means you can increase or decrease the size of the goal without them realising depending on whether it's important that they achieve it or important that they reach high (you have to mix it up).

Also, bring in healthy challenges like "Listen up, defenders - my strikers reckon if you can not let in more than one goal, they WILL score two and we'll win this game".

OK, not always great examples but I hope you know what I mean.
