Steve Walford
It's highly unlikely that O'Neill will ever return as manager and certainly not for the foreseeable future. The next best thing however, could his assistant Steve Walford, who stepped down at the same time in a show of solidarity with his boss, who would in my opinion be a welcome addition to the current management team. I say this because I can't see the board sacking Worthington at this time, and Walford may not want to accept a manager's job as he may wish to join up with O'Neill again in the future.
