My wife took me to the Fat Duck (Heston bloominbonkers place) for our wedding anniversary and they had
POWDERED ANJOU PIGEON
Blood Pudding and Confit of Umbles
as one of the courses.....
The waiter said that eating humble pie was humiliating because it was an admission of your low status in life...

Darned tasty though !
